On Friday we did nothing. Well we watched movies and went shopping for things for Nick's work but pretty much we did nothing.
On Saturday the four of us drove down to London. We arrived at around 12 and after checking into our hotel we went for a walk. We passed Big Ben and walked through Trafalgar square. There were almost no pigeons in the square and the surface few cm of the fountains was frozen. After a nice dinner we went to the London Paladium to see Sister Act. The show was really good and mostly followed the movie storyline however, all the songs were different and as far as I know they were all originals. So I was not able to sing along. I did buy the soundtrack so soon I will know all the words to the new songs too.
This morning we had breakfast in the hotel then as we had some time to spare we visited an art gallery. It was the worst gallery I have ever seen. The paintings were really old and very faded and then there were a few rooms of abstract art and sculptures which were just silly. There was not one thing in the gallery which I would consider hanging in my house. There was one room where they had sketch pads out and wanted you to attempt to draw some of the artists work. So Nick and I drew mini cartoon characters and labled it with "Nick and Tori Aged 22". Paul had a go at sketching and his looked rather good.
We then headed to Hampton Court (where the king with many wives lived). There was an ice arena set up and Nick and I went skating. I fell over twice. The first time I dont know why I fell. Possibly because the ice was not very smooth. But the second time was because Nick pushed me! We were playing chasey which was harder than it sounds due to the large number of people on the ice and Nick's superior skating skills. All he had to do was duck in behind some people and I would not be able to turn or stop fast enough to avoid the small children and catch him. Anyways he managed to tag me but when he did I fell so I maintain that it was his fault.
We are now back at home and watching Miracle on 34th Street. The little girl in it is on two channels at the same time because Matilda is on another channel.
