In which we visit the fishies

Last night Jackie, Paul and I went for a drink at the pub before heading to the street party. There were lots of people and it turned out to have a few fair ground rides and very few stalls.

This morning I finished the first of the books I brought. Then played with the bunnies and the mini buns. I took a bunch of photos but being on my film camera you will have to wait until I get home and put them on a cd so they can be posted.

Nick and I went to the new Bristol aquarium. There were lots of interesting fish and even a tank of neon tetras. As part of the aquarium experience you get a 40minute 3D IMAX movie. We saw one about whales and dolphins which gave a little information and lots of "if we do nothing, they are all going to die". But seeing the 3d was exelent.

Nick has given me a collections of coins he has been gathering for me. They are from all around the world and percentage of them are 1987 coins.

This afternoon Rachel and Pete came over and together with Paul's sister and her partner we all went out to dinner. The food was really nice and it was interesting to be in an italian resteraunt with all italian staff. After the meal we went back to the house and all sat around playing the variety of instruments found around the house. There was a couple of recorders, a harmonica, guitar, a small triangular string instrument, a little whistle, a guatamalian flute (which noone could get a note out of) and a clarinet and a saxophone. It was lots of fun and entirely tuneless.

Tomorrow we are going to Wales to see Jackie's dad and have a bit of a look around.

In Hobart at the moment is the 'Ady Gil' which is this new boat the sea shepherd has, it looks like a stealth bomber crossed with a catameran. It doesn't show up on the radar, and goes really fast, so it can go after the ships that actually kill the whales, rather than just the butch ships that they normally get.
