Yesterday the weather was awesome. It was warm (but not hot) and the breeze was refreshing (but not cold) so Twistie and I went for a ride. Since she is leaving for her treck back to Adelaide I have been fattening her up (so as not to waste the food I have here and also so that she wont get too skinny before she arives in Adelaide). But because of this fact / fat the girth does not do up on her saddle. Therefore we went out bareback. We just went for a nice relaxing ride up to the top of Leslie rd and back and it was great. I nearly fell off on the way back though. The fence on the corner of Leslie rd and Mt Plesant drive had fallen down and Twistie and I were trotting along quite happily when we both suddenly spotted the fallen fence and she shied and I hung on rather ungracefully with my knee hooked over her wither.
Other than that I have been busy working at Jane, cleaning rooms, making beds, scrubbing windows. The first of the conference people arrive on Sunday so the college will soon be full again. However, there are only two people moving into my corridor between now and christmas and one of them is Mum so my little part of college will still be quiet. Anyways better go now and get ready for cubs.
