In which Tori and Emma pee in the bush

So we were at Jan's feeding Twistie when we noticed some oil in a trail behind my car. We thought it could possibly have been from Jan's car or that it was simply showing up now cause the ground was wet. We then drove to Maccas to get a drink (hot chocolate for the cold) and when we got out we found the same sort of trail leading to the new carpark. This, we decided, was too much of a coincidence and thought that instead of visisting Ingrid and Luna we would simply drive home. We stopped in at the service station to ask if we could top up the oil but the lady behind the counter was very rude and not helpful at all so we left and began to drive home.

After not getting far down the Southern Outlet (the freeway between Kingston and Hobart) my car decided it didnt want to change gears and we were getting slower and slower. Luckily we were next to the turn off to The Lea and we took it. And there we sat for about 45mins while we waited for the RACT man to come and see what the problem was. When he arrived he confirmed my suspission (sp.) that it was transmission fluid and he called for a tow truck to collect the car within the hour. So there we sat for another 50mins. "During this time the drinks started to kick in and the title of this post came into being". The tow truck man put The Beast onto the back of his truck and drove us and The Beast to The Vet (Kingston Auto Repairs) where he will be looked at tomorrow.


Ingrid and Shaun picked us up from The Vet and drove us back to Jane. Emma and I would like to thank the Plant Science Department for holding an honours information evening tonight and ordering pizza otherwise it would have been 9pm before either of us got dinner. Also we would like to thank Grandpa for the torch he bought me last Summer as it came in handy.

What an adventure!
