In which employment begins

I got a job!!!!!!

On the 24th of March I will begin working for Landscape Construction Services as a "Field Staff" in their revegetation team. Yay! I actually do not have much idea of what I will have to do in this role but that is what induction days (23/3) are for. My guess is that I will be spraying weeds, killing Olive trees and planting native seedlings.

Other news. Yesterday I went to IKEA for the first time. We had lunch in the cafe and the light shades looked like cocolithophorids. (A type of phytoplankton). Then we had a look around. It was all a bit daunting really. Though I recon it would be fun to visit if you had lots of money and were redoing a house. The thing I liked best were the day beds. Which are beds that become a couch (but not in the way a fold up couch does since that is a couch that becomes a bed and this was the other way around). I'll have to get one for my house when I have enough money to get a house.

Gretta is starting to get better. I think the drugs are working. However, they are a pest to keep giving her. She avoids food you have put the tablets in and if you try to force them down her throat she goes and throws everything up half an hour later. She has another vet appointment on Monday so Ill see if maybe she can reduce the number that she is taking.

Last Tuesday we had the Country Fire Service come to cubs. It was the best night. The cubs were able to climb all over the truck, turn on the sirens, squirt the hoses, try on the fire proof clothes, talk on the radio and we went for a ride down the road. I cant wait until next term when we are hoping to have St Johns come to talk with them for a night. Next Tuesday we are hoping to start our vege patches.

Last bit of news. I have the house to myself for the next week because the parentals are going to Tassie (without me!).

Why aren't you coming to Tassie to visit me?!?!

So excited that you got a job, though. Congratulations.

Great news that Gretta is doing a bit better, too.

Because I have to start work and look after all the animals back here.
Love to my old fishies while I think of them.
