In which we have a Pebbles update

So since the last post I took Pebbles out on a ride out with Nicki and her horse Whisky. Pebbles saw kangaroos, deer, scary log piles and she just continued happily on her way. She was however, scared of a pidgeon and an ant hill. Which obviously are much scarier things than kangaroos.
Then on Saturday I took Pebbles to another property to have a ride away from home. She was excellent in the arena but a bit nervous when I took her into the x-country paddock.
Her vet check was booked for Tuesday but on Monday I had a little nerve attack and cancelled the vet check and told everyone I wasnt going to buy her. Then felt sad about that decision all day, had a chat with Nicki and then reorganised the vet check for Friday (yesterday).
So yesterday we did half of the vet check with the remainder to be done at the vet clinic on Monday (hopefully). And after that we will see.

On other pony news I am supposed to have dressage today and showjumping tomorrow but Twistie was lame yesterday afternoon so I am currently waiting for the sun to come up so I can trot her out and see if she is still lame or whether I can ride her. I worked out that I have only ridden her twice since the 19th of December. Pretty poor effort. But I did have a broken hand and then she kept loosing shoes which were only all replaced yesterday. Hence the "oh my feet are still too sore I cant possibly be ridden". Fingers crossed she isnt lame today. Hurry up sun.

Aww, poor Twistie! is that from the same farrier that put the nail in too far when I was visiting? I'm going to get boots for Bounce, so it will only cost $40 to get trimmed, instead of $100 for shoes. Hazel said she could teach me to trim them if I like, but I'm not sure if I'd be good enough, I'm still shy of her back legs since being kicked.

No, new farrier. And she is lame cause she didnt have shoes for a week. Not through any fault of the farrier.
