In which Twistie is a Superhorse

A few weekends ago I took Twistie to Waikerie. We drove up there on Saturday afternoon and camped the night. Unfortuately we were the only ones to decide to camp the night so Twistie was a bit lonely all by herself. I enjoyed sleeping next to her in my swag. During the night she got hungry and threw my shoes at me (a trick she learnt during my year 11 exams).

On sunday morning everyone else began to arrive and the Superhorse challenge began. First up we had to do some jumps, then we did keyhole which is a games event where you ride into a keyhole shape on the ground (made up with poles) do a fast turn as though you are unlocking the lock and then race out. Then we had a few hack classes, an obstacle course, a reining pattern, and the obstacle course again while carrying a huge toy lamb that we were supposed to be rescuing. The idea of the whole day was to prove that your horse was a versitile allrounder. Twistie did really well. She won the senior age class and then also won the entire competition.
