In which we catch up

Woops I missed January.
So here we are in February and we have lots of catching up to do.
Most of my life is currently preoccupied with job hunting, bludging, and pony riding. I have managed to find a few odd jobs such as some weeding for mum and painting my sister's new appartment. But I also had a contract job for two weeks. The contract was to whipper snip the SA water pipeline from Sandy Creek to Elizabeth. There were 4 of us on the task and while the start was hard work it got easier as we went along. The worst part of it was that I had to be at Salisbury by 7am to start work. Which meant leaving my house at 6:15am and getting up at 5:30am. While I am not much of one for sleeping in (I think my life record is only 10am) I do think that getting up at 7 or 8 is much more reasonable that 5:30. This also means that Gretta learns that 5:30 is the time to wake up and on weekends still gets me up at this time. I think I need to teach her the days of the week.

Once that job finished I had a week off to work my ponies and I took Otis to a clinic. We had two shared lessons with Manu, and Otis did really well. His head tossing has improved dramatically and he is now fun to ride rather than being a handfull. Twistie is still the best of course and I am going to attempt to take them both to dressage at the end of Feb.

The other big job I have had has been painting Haydee's new appartment. She moved in about 3 weeks ago and the whole place was pink. It had pink walls and pink carpets. Haydee chose the paint colours and we set to work. Each room was painted in a dark beige/grey colour and then three of the rooms were also given feature walls. The family room has a chocolate brown wall, the spare room has a sky blue wall, and Haydee's room has a red wall. If you are trying to imagine what the colours look like the best way to describe them is to think of the uniforms worn by the Virgin Blue air hostesses. Can you see it? Now you know the beige and the red of Haydee's room.

The other exciting news is that I have a job interview with a landscape construction company. I am not sure when it is but the email they sent says they will ring some time next week to organise it. Yay. I have also applied for a job at a doggy daycare center which sounds like something fun to do while I search for hort jobs.

Now we are almost up to date.
This weekend just past my friend Charissa came up to visit. I havnt seen her in well over a year. We took the dogs for a swim, we watched movies, we went for a ride, we played Killer Bunnies, and we played on the Wii. All in all a very sucessfull weekend. :)

And now you are completely caught up on my life.
