In which grumpy is the word of the evening

So I nominated January to be a penciller for dressage. A penciller is someone who sits in the car with the judge and writes down the scores and any comments the judge makes about a persons test. I nominated January because I had a broken hand and couldn't ride anyway. It was a perfect arrangement. But then ...

The January rally was cancelled and I had to nominated another month. So I picked June. June is usually wet and not the best riding conditions so I thought yes June. However, June came around and I forgot that I had picked June and entered Twist in the June rally. I then recieved an email saying "we need you to pencil" . I replied that I could pencil if it fitted around my tests or I would pull out if they refunded my money. They then sent back that they didnt need me after all as it was too hard to negotiate around my two tests and could I chose another month. I told them that both my tests were in the afternoon but I could pencil in the morning. Or I could pencil in July.

Now the June rally is cancelled. But that doesnt get me out of pencilling duty as I already said I could do July! This means that I dont get to ride at the June rally (cancelled) have to pencil next month (so no riding) Then there is no August rally so again I DONT GET TO RIDE!!!!
