In which George is chosen

4 and a half weeks ago Robyne's dog Pippa had another litter of puppies. Pippa is a honey and white border collie. This is her third litter. The first litter was bc x coolie pups. Robyne kept one (Cricket) and a friend Wendy kept another (Merlin). Then Pippa had a second litter of pure bc pups. Again Robyne kept one (Ziggy) and the runt became my Mum's dog Cleo. So now Pippa has had her third litter. This time they are bc x with labradors. The father (Toby) is a chocolate lab but when the puppies were born there was 5 black pups with small white markings and 2 golden pups, one of which has white markings. And it is this golden pup with white markings which has been named George and is going to be my Dad's christmas present.

Dad has been saying that he is the only one in our house without a dog or a pet all to himself. I have a dog, two sheep, three horses, and two budgies all to myself plus a share in a cat.

Yesterday I took Mum and Dad to see the puppies and he chose George. He decided to call him George because it can not be confused with any of the other of our pets names and Mum and I like it because he is Georgie porgie with our other three girl dogs. He can also be George of the Jungle and apparently there is a quote from Libarache (spelt phonetically) which says "I wish my brother George was here" and Dad recons that is what Cleo is saying while she waits for George to be big enough to come and live at our house. George will be ready to leave just before christmas which is while I am in England but I will be back for New Years and can see him then.

When searching for what a labrador x bc was called we found out it is a borador which is a silly name I think. I think that a lab x collie should be called a Lollie.

I think lollie is a much better name! I wish my Daddy would get a puppy, but Fidget wouldnt like it so I would have to take the puppy to come and live with me in Hobart - not a bad plan actually :)
