In which Rocket apears

On a foggy Mother's day morning, Mother and I decided to drive to Stratco to see if we could pick up some more fencing materials to keep the sheepies from eating the young trees in the orchard. After discovering that it was all too expensive we stopped off at Newman's nursery on the way home. There we saw a large ginger cat, gave it a cuddle and decided that we really missed having a cat at home. So we layed out some rules and then headed over to the Animal Welfare League to see about getting another cat. The rules were that we wanted a short haired, desexed male cat (not a kitten). There were only about 6 cats which fitted this description and only three of those were friendly towards us. In the end we chose Rocket (as PC was a bit too young and Pip looked too much like our old cat Tilly). Rocket is 18 months old, a domestic short hair (fancy way of saying moggy with short fur) and has border collie markings (so black and white). He is the friendliest cat who craves human attention and when he is happy he curls up in a ball and sucks noisily on his tail.
